  Customs Regulations 
There have been certain regulations for personal belongings and some items 
  may be brought into the country. Particularly in Eastern Block countries such 
  as Yugoslavia, Bulgaria, Romania, these regulations are strictly put into practice. 
  The acknowledgement and the obedience of these regulation will be beneficial 
  to avoid unwanted conditions and a safe departure from the entered country. 
  It should be kept in mind that any kind of negligence on entry will bring about 
  trouble and cause distress on exits.  
   
  Customs Formalities generally include forbidden or limited items to be brought 
  into the country or items registered beforehand in the owner's passport. Generally 
  all types of sharp instruments and weapons are forbidden to be brought into 
  country. 
   
  Personal belongings can be brought into the country on the condition that they 
  will be took out the country on exit. International regulations bring certain 
  procedures for the type and amount of these personal belongings. The above listed 
  items are designated in order to prevent any misuse.

  d) Accumulator Charge Apparatus,  
  e) Auto broom with accumulator,  
  f) Icebox with accumulator,  
  g) Inner tube and tyre except for spare tyre, 
   Other items to be scrutinized by the Ministry of Finance and Customs , 
   1 cat or dog or bird or aquarium fish on the condition that they are with 
  their owners (medical report from the veterinary surgeon,document of origin 
  and vaccination and controlled by the veterinary surgoen). 
   There are certain regulations about the foreign currency to be brought into 
  the country .In general terms there is no limitation for a certain amount of 
  foreign or local currency to be brought into or taken out of the country. The 
  amount of money more than the above mentioned amount is to be declared on entry. 
   In addition to the foreign currency, some personal belongings are to be declared 
  on entry. Jewelry is in the first place. Moreover , TV, camera , video recording 
  camera, video player, cellular telephones, electronic equipments, supplies for 
  camping and sports and other valuable belongings are to be registered on entry 
  to the customs office.The registration will be both written or oral.The type 
  of registration depends on the properties of the items and the entered country. 
   In order to prevent any kind of problem on entry , it is suggested not to 
  bring excessive currency and jewelry and to conform to the considerations. 
 
   
  Goods Subject to Payment of Custom Duties 
The goods not more than 1.500 Euro are to be delivered to the traveller more 
  than 18 years old two months before his/her entry or six months later of his/her 
  departure, and the goods not brought to the country to be traded are subject 
  to %10 customs duty. (Exemption of 300 Euro will be reduced).  
  The goods which are concurrently imported with the owner at the age of 18 and 
  not more than 1.500 Euro and brought into the country out of commercial concerns 
  are subject to %10 customs duty. (Exemption of 300 Euro will be excluded). 
The above conditions are to be provided in order to take advantage of this 
  right: 
   The items being sent to the ones residing in Turkey via mail or cargo, 
   The goods concurrently imported by the owner, 
   Being brought or sent as a gift , 
   Peculiar to personel or family use, 
   The items that the customer make no payment in return upon purchasing, 
   Out of commercial concerns, 
If the value of the goods, imported within the frame outlined above, exceed 
  1.500 Euro, the customs duty of these goods' importation will be collected according 
  to the regulated principles being in force. 
If each imported goods in question exceeds 1.500 Euro, the customs duty will 
  be collected according to the designated ratios.  
  Before the allocation of a fixed proportional tax, the person who have declared 
  his/her imported goods will require tax regulations to be applied for imported 
  goods. In this case the importation of the good will be allowed upon the tax 
  revenue. 
The stabilization of the tax assessment of the brought good within this frame 
  will be designated according to the presented invoice or receipt. If the attestation 
  of such a document is not available or the value of the registered good presented 
  with the document is low, the value of the good will be determined by the administrations. 
 
  Currency Regulations 
There is no limit for the amount of the foreign and Turkish currency to be 
  brought into Turkey.  
  More than $5.000 worth of Turkish currency can not be taken out of the country. 
$ 5.000 worth foreign currency can be taken out of the country. 
$5.000 or near amount of cash currency will be taken out of the country by 
  the ones who reside abroad or Turkish citizens working abroad, and by those 
  who settled in Turkey, if they document that they have purchased currency from 
  the authorized banks. 
The amount of foreign or Turkish currency will be transfered abroad through 
  banks. 
All personal belongings and articles made of precious stones or metals( not 
  bearing commercial purposes)worth not over $15.000 will be brought into and 
  taken out of the country. ( The jewelry worth more than the given amount can 
  only be taken out of the country proving that it has been registered on entry 
  or purchased in Turkey with legally exchanged currency.) 
Cash money brought into the country to be purchased for exportation carried 
  out from Turkey is to be declared on entry.
